About Dr. McCurry | McCurry Training and Coaching

Jay McCurry is the Founder and President of McCurry Training and Coaching, a firm specializing in human performance and productivity. He is a visionary and entrepreneurial leader and operates with a hands-on management style. Shaped by his diverse experiences in the field of Education, Dr. McCurry is passionate about working with the adult corporate learner.

Jay has managed both line and staff functions. Jay is able to step into ambiguous, sometimes hostile situations and sense what changes need to be made. He is driven by a strong desire to have a positive impact on his clients. Jay has been exposed to and worked with a litany of industries. Everything from banking, to real estate development, to non-profits, and to the educational arena.

Jay is a past member of the following great organizations: The South Oklahoma City Rotary club, the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the Sunset Hills (MO) Chamber of Commerce, Phi Delta Kappa, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Christian Educator’s Association, the Board of Regents for the Pillsbury College and Seminary, and the Board of Directors for the Freeway Foundation.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Relations, a Master of Arts degree in Education, and a Doctor of Christian Education.

The facilitation of strategic retreats, conducting customer services responses, training in conflict resolution, leadership training, and executive coaching, and curriculum writing have been numbered among his work. Jay writes a regular article entitled, “A Lesson in Leadership”.

Jay strongly supports Hearts and Hands International, a non-profit that serves children at risk around the world, The Boys Ranch Town, a private, not-for-profit, residential, working, 145-acre ranch located in a rural setting within the city limits of Edmond. He also support INROADS, which provides global corporations direct access to the best and brightest ethnically diverse talent, who historically have been under-represented in business and industry.

Jay and his wife Kelly live in Edmond with their three daughters, Abigayle, Aliya, and Adah.
